Where Larsen Photo Co. Began…

Does too much of a good thing exist? In Nina’s case, yes. She built such a successful business over the course of 10 years, both by word of mouth referrals from extremely happy clients and by using her expert knowledge of SEO. But her family was growing (welcome, baby!) and she wanted to get more specific in what she offered. She was getting so many inquiries that she knew it was time to niche down even further, only accepting elopements within a 2-hour drive of her home in Boulder, CO.

Where Larsen Photo Co. Is Headed… 

Nina worked herself into a place where she gets to be picky. That’s the spot every business owner wants to get to. It’s the dream, right? So rather than attracting anyone who wanted to elope in Colorado like she used to, she wanted to focus on a very specific location, on very specific days, with very specific timelines. This new look was taking her solid messaging and copy and bringing it to a place where only her dream clients would inquire. She wanted to keep her calendar full, but only on days of her choosing.

Target Audience

Nicole, 29, loves the mountains. She would spend every weekend hiking at 14er in Colorado if she could. Eloping in CO is a no brainer for her and her partner, Abigail. They both value experiences over things, and will gladly splurge on bougie stuff like an extra nice AirBnB with a hot tub, or a private chef for their elopement dinner. They don’t care about ceremony arches or extravagant florals, not so much. 

They connect by traveling and spending time outdoors together, so it's a natural way for them to get married too. They don't like the idea of being the center of attention at a big wedding, and hate the idea of planning out wedding details like party favors and napkin colors. Nicole works in tech and Abigail is a teacher. They shop at REI, and don't mind spending more on quality items whether it's hiking boots or good beer. Colorado 4 Lyfe.

Larsen Photo Co. prioritizes a completely individual experience above all else. Every elopement is 100% tailored to the couple. The way the tree fits perfectly into the “A”, symbolizing boldness, confidence, and experience. The “C-o” connection is a hat tip to the attentiveness of Nina for every couple she works with.

“I booked Telltale Design Co. for a one-day design intensive to get fresh and more cohesive brand materials than what I’d DIY’ed over the years, and Lydia seriously blew me away!

From laying out what to expect before I even booked, to the super detailed questionnaire that had me digging deep into my brand values so that she could make strategic design decisions for my business, to the initial brand direction she presented the morning of the intensive, to the finished materials that included a new logo, secondary logo, brand marks, color palette, font selection, and web direction— every single part of the design intensive made me feel like she truly understood my business and cared as much about my clients as I do myself.
