Anne Pulliam Interiors

Showing personality and funk in an interior designer’s brand (and helping her more than double her average client investment)

Brand Strategy / Visual Identity / Custom Web Design + Development — Washington, D.C.

Brand Evolution

Where Anne Pulliam Began…

Anne remembers her childhood by the buildings. She studied the architecture of Richmond wherever her family drove, walked, or visited. She would rearrange the furniture in their own home for fun. All grown up, Anne entered the workforce, serving the nonprofit sector. After 7 years, she fell back into her first love: design. She worked within the field, learning and studying and growing, and was ready to venture out on her own.

Where Anne Pulliam Is Headed…

Anne made her competition into her peers. She learned from the designers she worked with and picked up an individualized style along the way. When she started dreaming about her own business, she knew she wanted to create colorful, curated, and practical living spaces. There’s a little pressure designing for a designer, but it’s also so.much.fun. We get to pull from their beautiful style and create a brand to match.

Brand Keywords

Personable — Dynamic — Collaborative — Bespoke

Target Audience

Sally, 37, is a Creative Director at an agency in the D.C. area. She’s married but doesn’t have children. She’s extremely focused on her career, but leaves a lot of room for fun, too. She loves to travel and try new restaurants. She visits museums on weekends and loves live shows. She has a wide network of friends, but only a few are in her tight-knit circle. She wants a space that she feels proud to show, but is comfortable to live in. She has a great personal style but isn’t quite sure how to translate that into home decor. Also? She doesn’t have time to take on this project.

Visual Rationale

Anne brings homes to life in a way that is both functional and thoughtful, maintaining an attention to detail throughout the design process to create personalized and creative living spaces. Every piece of this brand met those expectations: a functional sans serif font that feels funky but classic. The color palette communicates intentionality and boldness, while the pattern shows classic charm.

Brand Values

Creativity — Collaboration — Intention

In Anne’s Words

“I hired Telltale because Lydia seemed like she had her shit together! She was super organized from the beginning and her entire team was extremely prompt, creative, and super accommodating. Working with Telltale exceeded all of my expectations. They asked the right questions and delivered! Their entire team was extremely prompt, creative and super accommodating. 100% would recommend hiring Telltale for all of your branding/website needs!”

If you’ve made it this deep into our site, you probably already know that collaboration is our favorite. This project was a team effort with the help of Green Chair Stories on copywriting.
